The Personal Dashboard in Resource Management (RM) gives employees visibility into their own allocations, billing goals, and assignments. While most Resource Management features are for administrators and managers, the Personal Dashboard helps standard users understand expectations and track progress.
Hours Progress in Time Entry
When entering time on the Day View or Week View, employees see a progress indicator showing how many allocated hours remain for the month. Hover over the number to view details.
- A green checkmark appears when all allocated hours are worked.
- A red checkmark appears if worked hours exceed the allocation.
Personal Dashboard Panels
To the left of time entry options, employees may see up to three dashboard panels:
- Leave Availability: Shows available leave hours (requires Time Off and Accruals module).
- Billable Hours Goal: Displays progress towards the monthly billing goal.
- Active Assignments: Shows the number of active and completed assignments for the month. Hover to compare worked vs. assigned hours.
Hiding Allocations
Administrators can control whether allocations display in the Personal Dashboard. In Company → Preferences → Project Estimation, unchecking Show planned allocations in time entry pages removes these details from the Day View and Week View.
Summary
The Personal Dashboard helps employees track their own progress against allocations, billing goals, and assignments. By making this information visible during time entry, staff can stay aligned with expectations while administrators maintain control over what is shared.
