Mobile Error Messages and Known Issues explains common mobile-only error messages, behaviors, and account configurations that are not fully supported in the ClickTime Mobile App. Use this article to understand what an error means and what to do next.
Summary: If you see messages such as Account Not Configured, New Entry Disabled, or Edit Entry Disabled, they usually indicate a configuration, access, or approval-state issue. This article walks through the most common scenarios, settings that are not supported on mobile, and other mobile-specific behaviors to be aware of.

"Account Not Configured" error
If you see an Account Not Configured error, this usually means that your organization has not yet set up at least one Client or has not yet added a Project to a Client.
For best results, we recommend that your local ClickTime Administrator assigns every Project in your account to a Client and reviews the non allocated project option on the Company > Preferences page.
More information can be found in the Creating, Editing, and Managing Clients in ClickTime and Creating, Editing, and Managing Projects in ClickTime articles.
"New Entry Disabled" error
If you tap New Entry and see a New Entry Disabled error, the timesheet you are trying to add time to has already been submitted and is in Approved or Waiting for Approval status. The entry is locked by design.
If the timesheet is Waiting for Approval, go to Menu > Timesheets > Pending and use Undo Submission to reopen it.
If the timesheet is Approved, contact your timesheet approver or ClickTime Administrator to request that they reject or undo the approval so you can make changes.
"Edit Entry Disabled" error
How this error occurs:
- Organizations that use the Project Approvals workflow. When an employee submits a timesheet it goes to a Project Manager who reviews the hours. This locks the time entries. If the employee taps a time entry on a submitted timesheet, this error appears.
- If the user no longer has access to a specific Client, Project, or Task that was used on the entry.
The fix is usually to reject the timesheet (or use Undo Submission) so it returns to the Open state or to restore access to the underlying Client, Project, or Task.
Start / End Times format behavior
Changing your preferred time entry method to Start / End Times can cause the following behaviors on pre-existing entries:
- The time entry details screen may show incorrect start and end times on existing entries. This is a display issue only.
- You may not be able to edit existing entries using your new format.
Other known issues
- Users who are their own timesheet approvers may see a Submit and Approve button on the Timesheets page.
- If your timesheet also requires Project or Time Off approval, you may be able to submit but not approve your own timesheet.
- The Time Entry Notes field is small, so you may not see the full text of very long notes without scrolling.
- There can occasionally be a brief delay between submitting your timesheet and that timesheet moving out of the Open tab. This is a display issue only.
- Mobile dictation is a device feature or part of other installed software and is not specifically supported by the ClickTime app. Please direct dictation questions to your device or software vendor.
Settings not supported on mobile
Some ClickTime settings and configurations are not currently supported in the ClickTime Mobile App. If your organization uses any of the following, you may need to use the web application instead:
- People who are required to use the Stopwatch (by administrative settings)
- DCAA compliant users
- Subjobs
- Screen readers and other accessibility features (voice to text) are not fully supported
- Device text size preferences are not fully respected in the app
- Custom Fields support one date and currency format at this time (MM/DD/YY and USD)
- Mobile browsers are not officially supported. For any mobile-based ClickTime use, using the mobile app is best practice.
Tip: If you are unsure whether a setting is supported on mobile, try entering time on the web or contact ClickTime Support for guidance.
