The Employee Performance Report provides detailed information on each employee, including the total hours they have worked and the top 5 projects they have tracked hours for, among other insights.
This report is available to organizations on a Team plan or higher and can be viewed by those with the Administrator security level, as well as Managers with the necessary permissions.
Specifically, Managers must have the ability to view People, run reports, and access Billing Rates, Clients, and Projects.
Access to the report also requires that your organization has enabled the Billing Rate options on the Company > Preferences page (more details here).
There are a few ways to access the Employee Performance Report.
One option is to navigate to the Company > People page and click the "edit" pencil icon to open the Person Details page for the employee you wish to view.
From there, click the "Review Performance" link at the top of the page:
Administrators can also select the "Performance" link under the Performance Report column on the Company > People page for any specific user to go directly to the Performance section of that Person Details page. If you do not see this link, you can add it to the People List View page using the "columns" option.
Additionally, Administrators can click "Employee Performance Review" on the Company > People page:
Clicking the "Employee Performance Review" link will take you to the report page, where you can select a person to review from the people picker list.
The Employee Performance Report allows you to track a user's billable hours, total billings, and their progress toward their billing goal based on their availability.
You can view this data for the last 6 months, 12 months, year-to-date, or for a custom time frame using the calendar picker. The time frame can be selected in the upper left corner of the report page.
The report can also be used to monitor users' progress against specific lines of work, broken down by worked hours and the billings associated with those hours.
"Timesheet Completion": this is conditional and will only appear if an employee has an incomplete time entry rule setup under their account (see here). This metric provides a % calculation of the number of times an employee has met their time entry completion requirement within the timesheet rule that applies to them (daily or weekly), in relation to the number of timesheets within that period. The description "Completion below 95% could result in inaccurate data" indicates how often the employee enters their minimum required hours. This score should be above 95% to yield accurate performance insights.
The Employee Performance Report also provides graphical representations of hours and billings recorded over a specific time frame, broken down by month. If you need to remove a specific marker or add it back to a graph, you can do so by simply clicking on it.
If you remove a marker, it will appear grayed out.
To export or print this report for your records, use the "Print Summary" button at the top of the page. This will display the report in PDF format.
