The Advanced tab in ClickTime provides powerful administrative tools for customizing, updating, and importing data. These options are designed to save time, improve consistency, and streamline management.
Important: Only Administrators can access the Advanced tab.

Available Features
Custom Messages
Add company-wide notes or reminders that appear in key areas of ClickTime.
Examples:
- Submission deadlines (for example, “Timesheets due by Friday at 5 PM.”)
- Policy links (for example, “Travel reimbursement form.”)
- General announcements.
Custom Messages make it easy to keep employees informed directly within ClickTime.
Bulk Options
Apply changes across multiple records at once instead of editing them one by one. Bulk actions include:
- People: update approvers, permissions, or Employment Types in one step.
- Projects & Tasks: activate, deactivate, or reassign settings for large groups.
- Timesheets: lock, unlock, or override in bulk.
Tip: Test bulk updates with a smaller group first to confirm accuracy.
Data Import (Paid Service)
Import large amounts of information into ClickTime using the Data Import option. This is ideal for onboarding or making major updates to your account. Typical data includes:
- People
- Projects
- Clients
- Tasks
Each import follows a structured template to ensure consistent loading.
Important: Data Import is delivered as a paid service and is not self-serve. Please contact Support at support@clicktime.com to review your file, confirm scope, receive a quote, and schedule the work. Imports may overwrite existing records—review your file carefully before proceeding.
