Summary & next steps
Client-centric reports give you fast answers to client-first questions: where time went, what was billable, who did the work, and how budgets and margins look. Use summaries for quick roll-ups, and detail reports when you need line items and notes.
Pro tips
- Start with the date range. Most “missing data” is a filter issue.
- Billing/amounts need rates. Configure billing rates (and costs) to populate amount and profit columns.
- Invoice prep? Filter to Billable Only and consider Client Invoice (Excel) or Billing Detail By Person.
- Audit trail? Use Detail By Person or any report “with Comments.”
- Exports: CSV for analysis (Excel/Sheets), PDF for sharing snapshots.
