The People Dashboard provides managers, department leads, and administrators with a centralized view of workforce performance across people, divisions, projects, and tasks. From one page, you can review key metrics, explore project and task activity, and drill into individual people details without switching between separate reports or People records.
Managers commonly use the People Dashboard during one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and day-to-day team management.
Important: The People Dashboard is available to administrators and users who approve timesheets. Approvers only see data for the people whose timesheets they have access to. Administrators can view all people and all available dashboard data.

Before you begin
The People Dashboard is designed for users who manage, review, or approve time for other employees. A user can access the People Dashboard if they are:
- An administrator, or
- A timesheet approver for one or more people.
The data shown on the dashboard depends on the user's access. Approvers only see information for people whose timesheets they can access. Administrators can view all people and all available data.
Some financial information is permission-based. Billings require the View Billing Rates permission and time billing features must be enabled for the account. Labor Costs require the View Cost Rates permission.
Access the People Dashboard
To open the People Dashboard, go to Company > Dashboard > People Dashboard.
The People Dashboard can also be set as your ClickTime homepage. Once you visit the People Dashboard from the Company Dashboard, ClickTime returns you to this page the next time you open the Company Dashboard.
Dashboard overview
The People Dashboard is divided into two tabs:
- Dashboard provides visual summaries of project and task activity.
- Data Grid displays people-level information in a searchable table.
Both tabs share the same filters and summary cards, so changing a filter updates the entire dashboard.
The summary cards show high-level totals for the selected people, divisions, and date range. Depending on permissions, these cards may include:
- People Count
- Hours Tracked
- Billings
- Labor Costs
Tip: Select Refresh Data at any time to reload the dashboard with the latest available information.
Use filters
Filters at the top of the page control the information shown on both the Dashboard and Data Grid tabs.
You can filter the dashboard by:
- People or Divisions
- Date range
The default date range is Past 6 Months. Other available ranges may include Past 3 Months, Past 1 Month, Past 1 Week, Year to Date, and Custom Range. Use Clear Filters to return the dashboard to its default filter view.
People filter
Use the People filter to choose which people should be included in the dashboard. The selection window includes search and filtering options so you can narrow the list before applying your selection.
Division filter
Use the Division filter to review dashboard data by division. Selecting one or more divisions updates the people, metrics, charts, and tables shown on the page.
Dashboard tab
The Dashboard tab provides visual summaries of project and task activity for the selected filters.
Project Overview
The Project Overview section displays a treemap of your top projects for the selected filters. Use the controls above the chart to switch between available metrics, such as Hours, Billings, and Costs, and to choose whether to display the Top 10, Top 25, or Top 50 projects. The treemap automatically updates based on your selections.
Hover over a project to review additional details, or select a project to open the Project Detail panel.
Task Overview
The Task Overview section shows task activity in a table and donut chart. This view helps identify which tasks account for the selected hours, costs, or billings.
Select a task from the table or chart to open the Task Detail panel.
Data Grid tab
The Data Grid tab provides a searchable, sortable table of people included in the selected filters. Use this tab when you want to compare individual people or review people-level metrics in a table format.
From the Data Grid, you can:
- Search for a person.
- Sort by available columns.
- Configure which columns are shown.
- Select a person to open the Person Detail panel.
Configure columns
Use Configure Columns to choose which columns appear in the Data Grid. Available columns may include details such as Name, Division, Role, Status, Hours, Billings, and Costs, depending on permissions and account settings.
View detail panels
Throughout the People Dashboard, selecting a project, task, or person opens a detail panel from the right side of the page. These panels provide additional context without requiring you to leave the dashboard.
Detail panels may include KPI cards, trend charts, and related tables.
Project Detail panel
The Project Detail panel shows project-level metrics and trends for the selected project. It may include total hours, estimated cost, billings, contributors, an hours trend chart, contributor details, and a task breakdown.
When available, the project name links to that project's Project Health View in a new browser tab.
Task Detail panel
The Task Detail panel shows task-level metrics and trends for the selected task. It may include ratio, hours, estimated cost, billings, an hours trend chart, projects using the task, and top contributors.
Person Detail panel
The Person Detail panel shows individual-level metrics and trends for the selected person. It may include hours, labor cost, billings, top projects, and top tasks.
Depending on your permissions, the Person Detail panel may also include quick links to related pages, such as the person's timesheet, timesheet override, or People Detail page.
