The Company Dashboard & Approval Inbox is designed to speed up approval workflows and give managers a clear, real-time view of pending activity. It provides quick access to timesheets, expenses, project approvals, and time off requests - eliminating the need to dig through filters or reports.
Navigating the Dashboard
At the top of the page, the hero section highlights key information about the current and previous timesheet periods.
Current Period Deadline
This area shows when the current timesheet period ends.
Prior Period Submissions
This area shows the percentage of timesheets submitted for the last period.
Prior Period Approvals
This area shows the percentage of timesheets approved for the last period.
Approval Funnel Chart
This chart, displayed on the top-right of the screen, shows a summary count of timesheet statuses for a selected period. The supported statuses for this view are Open, Waiting (Waiting for Approval) and Approved. The arrow option to the right of the section header allows you to move to different timesheet periods.
Filters
Through the Company Dashboard and Approval Inbox, you will have access to a people filter via this icon:
Once you select the My People option, you will receive a view showing you the users you have access to. From this new screen, you can choose to filter by specific people by checking the box to the left of their names. Additionally, you can use the search fields above Person Name, Approver, Division, Start Date, End Date or Employment Type to filter down to the people list by a specific value.
Using the Approval Inbox
The Approval Inbox is the primary workspace in the company dashboard where approvers have the ability to approve, reject, or display additional details on any ClickTime object awaiting their review. It displays only the items that are currently awaiting your approval. This includes; timesheets, time off requests, project approvals, expense approvals.
By default, Admins will always be able to see all data Waiting for Approval. Managers will always be limited based on their specific permissions. If a Manager is not set as an approver for Timesheets, Project Approvals, Expenses or Time Off, they will not see the Approval Inbox. If a Manager does not have access to Company >> Reports, they will not see the My Favorite Reports area. If a Manager has no access to review timesheets, they will not see the Time Entry Completion widget.
If a Manager does not qualify (via permissions) for any widget on the screen, the following message will appear:
Timesheets
The timesheet section displays Submission Date (sortable), Timesheet Owner Name, Timesheet Period, Completeness, Comments and hours. To view comments on an individual timesheet, you can click the icon in the Comments column.
