The Legacy Dashboard Panels found on the Company → Dashboard page give administrators and managers an at‑a‑glance view of time entry completion, billable hours, recent timesheet status, and project/budget health. You can add, remove, move, and configure panels so your dashboard focuses on the metrics that matter most to you.
Summary: Use Company → Dashboard to monitor time entry, approvals, billable mix, and project/budget status. Add up to nine panels, customize who and what they report on, and use each panel’s gear menu and Full Report links to dive into the underlying reports.
Where to find it: Go to Company → Dashboard. Administrators can see all panels and people; managers see panels and results based on their permissions (Run Reports, View Billing Rates, Review Timesheets, Resource Management access, etc.).

Dashboard alerts
Alerts appear along the top of the Company → Dashboard page and surface items that may require your attention.
The dashboard may show alerts such as:
- Timesheet Approval — Shows how many timesheets are waiting for your approval. Selecting the alert opens the Company → Timesheets page filtered to timesheets where you are the Default Approver. See the Timesheet Approvals overview for more details.
- Rejected Timesheets — Indicates how many of your timesheets were rejected and need edits before you can resubmit.
- Expense Sheet Approval — Shows how many expense sheets are waiting for your approval. Selecting the alert opens the Expense Sheet Review page with those sheets filtered.
- Approved Expense Sheets — For the administrator responsible for marking expense sheets as paid, this alert shows how many approved sheets still need to be marked as paid.
- Rejected Expense Sheets — Indicates how many of your expense sheets were rejected and need edits before being resubmitted.
- Project Approval — If you are a project manager for projects that require project‑level approvals, this alert shows how many timesheets include project time awaiting your review. Selecting the alert opens the Project Approvals tab on Company → Timesheets.
Additional alerts may appear over time as new approval or notification features are introduced.
Managing dashboard panels
The Company → Dashboard page is customizable. You can add, remove, move, and rename panels to create a dashboard that fits your role. Each dashboard can include up to nine panels, and you can add multiple versions of the same panel with different filters.
Add panels
To add a panel, select the Add button in the upper‑right corner of the dashboard.
Choose the panel type you want (for example, Time Entry Completion or Projects to Watch), then configure the settings and save.
Remove panels
To remove a panel, select the gear icon in the upper‑right corner of the panel and choose Remove Panel.
Move panels
To rearrange panels, use the move handle in the upper‑left corner of the panel and drag it to a new location on the dashboard.
Rename panels
For panels that report on time worked, you can rename the panel to better reflect how you are using it. Select the gear icon and choose Rename Panel, then enter a new name.
Dashboard panel types
Dashboard panels summarize key metrics from your time, approvals, and Resource Management data. The main panel types include:
- Time Entry Completion — Daily or weekly time entry completeness.
- Billable Hours — Billable vs. non‑billable mix for a selected month.
- Recent Timesheet Status — Status of the last two timesheets for selected people.
- Projects to Watch — Progress against project estimates or allocations.
- Budgets to Watch — Progress against monthly budgets in Resource Management.
- Hours Worked in Last 7 Days by Client — Last 7 days of worked time by top clients.
- Reports panel — Quick access to your favorite reports.
- News panel — Product updates and announcements from ClickTime.
Time Entry Completion
The Time Entry Completion panel shows the percentage of active people who have met their daily or weekly minimum hour requirements.
Use the gear icon to change which people are included. Select Full Report to open the Incomplete Time Entry report for those employees.
For more details on configuring minimum hour requirements and incomplete time entry options, see the Incomplete Time Entry guide.
Billable Hours
The Billable Hours panel shows the percentage of billable and non‑billable hours for the selected month.
You can toggle between the current and previous month, choose which employees to include, and export the chart as an image using the menu in the upper‑right corner of the panel.
Managers need Run Reports and View Billing Rates permissions to see this panel.
Recent Timesheet Status
The Recent Timesheet Status panel provides a snapshot of the last two timesheets for each selected person (for example, submitted, approved, rejected, or not submitted).
By default, the panel shows employees whose timesheets you review and approve. Use the gear icon to adjust which people appear in the panel. Select Full Report to open the Company → Timesheets page for those employees.
This panel requires Timesheet Approvals to be enabled for your account. For more information, see the Timesheet Approvals and Project Approvals guides.
Projects to Watch
The Projects to Watch panel is available if your organization uses Project Estimation (Basic Estimation) or the Resource Management module.
Each bar shows estimated hours (gray) and hours worked (green). When worked hours exceed the estimate (or when hours are logged to a project without an estimate), the overage appears in red.
Use the gear icon to configure:
- Which projects to include.
- Which month to show.
- How to sort (for example, Most Worked %).
Hover over a bar to see a tooltip with estimated hours, hours worked so far, and the difference. Resource Management users can use options like See in Worksheet to open the Resource Management grid filtered to that project.
Only projects with an estimate or allocated hours for the selected month appear, and each panel can show up to ten projects at a time.
Budgets to Watch
The Budgets to Watch panel is available to organizations using the Resource Management module and is visible to administrators and managers who can access the Resource Management grid.
The panel shows monthly budgets (gray) alongside hours or billings worked toward that budget (green). When a project goes over budget, the additional amount is shown in red.
Use the gear icon to configure which projects to include, which month to show, and how to sort (for example, Highest Budget).
Select Full Report to run the Resource Management Budget Summary report for the projects and month you have chosen. You can also access this report from the Resource Management page (under Reports) or from Company → Reports in the Projects section.
Only projects with a monthly budget for the selected month appear in the panel. Each panel can display up to ten projects, and you can add multiple Budgets to Watch panels to monitor different sets of projects or months.
Hours Worked in Last 7 Days by Client
The Hours Worked in Last 7 Days by Client panel is available to administrators and managers who have permission to run reports. It shows worked hours (not time off) for the last seven days by your top five clients, with all other clients grouped into “Other”.
Hover over a column to see how many hours were logged to each client for that day and the percentage of total hours.
Use the gear icon to change which people are included in the panel.
The Full Report link runs the People: Project and Task Summary report for the last seven days. You can also access this report from Company → Reports in the People section.
Reports panel
The Reports panel surfaces reports you have marked as favorites and provides quick links to open them.
If you have not yet marked any reports as favorites, this panel suggests commonly used reports.
To learn more about running reports and managing favorites, see Standard Reports — Report Center.
News panel
The News panel displays product news and announcements from ClickTime. Use it to stay informed about feature updates, improvements, and other important information about your account.
